Murray Darling Winery Cellar Doors

Descendant’s from Italy and the mountains of Calabria with a long history in growing grapes and a passion for drinking good wine. The Cua Italian Grand parents used the Cappa Stone (Pietra Cappa) rock formation in the Calabrian Mountain range in Southern Italy, to hide and protect the family. Here they survived and encouraged the family to love life and to live it to it’s fullest.

The rock formation is a symbol of life, fulfilment and opportunity that is instilled into our company and into the wines that are made for all to fall in love with.

To make our wines we select super premiuim parcels of fruit and transport them to our winery to be hand made and nutured with open fermentation vats, basket presses and aged in the finest of oak barrels.

Donna Stephens is the Winemaker and one of the owners of Cappa Stone. With over 20 years experience in the wine industry. She brings to our company a wealth of knowledge and passion in making wines from the Clare Valley, Coonawarra, Adelaide Hills and other cool climate regions. Over her winemaking career she has made wine for people all around the world.

Cellar door is open from Monday to Sunday 12-5pm.

The Oak Valley Estate Boutique Winery is situated in the Northwest Murray Darling Region of Sunraysia on the site of one of Mildura’s earliest farms, the Kia Ora Dairy. Owned and operated by the De Blasio family, the impressive Tuscan style airconditioned cellardoor tasting and sales area, features century old timbers that provide a relaxing historical ambience, and a sense of ‘taking time out’ to savour some outstanding wines in a fantastic atmosphere.

The Oak Valley Estate name was chosen because the main property from which they have cultivated since 1963 is located on Oak Avenue.

Using traditionalist winemaking methods and the knowledge that has been handed down from father to son and combined with todays modern techniques to produce wines of unique character, with every step of the production process handled personally from the vineyard to the bottle.

The matured wines of Oak Valley are particularly suited to producing the less common table wines such as Grenache, Muscatel and Black Muscatel. Oak Valley Estate also make a dual coloured Rose’ from over 30 year old Grenache wines.

Oak Valley Estate also have a delightful range of local produce Jams and Preserves, as well as Dried Fruits and Olive Oils that are all grown and processed on the Oak Valley Estate property. A range of delightful Gift Packs are also available. Oak Valley also serves freshly roasted coffee in all styles and an all natural hot chocolate.

hatueu Mildura’s boutique range of wines are made on a small scale with varieties of grapes from the Mildura region. We employ a unique mix of both old and modern techniques and technology in its winemaking operation.

Small batches of white and red grapes are carefully processed using controlled temperature fermentation and open top fermenters. The Reds are then hand plunged before oak maturation.

In the Restaurant or alfresco on the balcony, enjoy a culinary experience that is fresh, simple and modern with a touch of class.

Enjoy the relaxed ambience of our award-winning restaurant, where the elegant surrounds with stunning views of the Murray River complement the delicious food and fine wines.

For a casual lunch, enjoy a fully catered BBQ cooked by you to your taste, or for something light try a gourmet antipasto or cheese platter. This is an ideal way of spending a relaxing day by the river.
