A quarter of a century on from planting its first block, Andrew Peace Wines remains a proud family business and one of the largest family owned wineries in Australia. What started as a weekend escape transformed into a family passion.

Through much toil of three Peace generations the ‘country retreat’ vineyard produced its first vintage in 1995 and a commercial winery was born. Every vintage since has accompanied another chapter of family life – celebrations, milestones and happy memories.

Andrew Peace remains the Winemaker today and invites you to enjoy the fruits of the family toil with the same joy they have had in creating it.

The winery is utterly contemporary, driven with sound business acumen and utilising first class technology. With this combination it’s no surprise that the winery is consistently among the top 20 performing Australian exporters and boasts a litany of awards to its name. Victorian Vineyard of the year 1997, Telstra Small Business of the Year 1999 and Emerging Exporter Award 2001 are just a few of its accolades. Meanwhile, the ever expanding product range consistently medals. Despite the scale of the business today, the winery remains very much a family affair. In fact, the Peace family believes its success lies within its family ties.

The winery is situated opposite the murray river and boasts excellent picnic facilities as well as a BBQ and pizza oven which can be used on request. There is ample room for parking cars and caravans.

Bulga Wine Estates draws on a little over 50ha altogether: chardonnay (10ha), cabernet sauvignon (10ha), the remainder shiraz and a little colombard. Only part of the wine is vinified under the Bulga Wine Estates label, and handsomely so.
